I have a query sent by Outlook that when received in Outlook and sent back
is able to update an Access database. This works fine except when the
email recipient happens to use gmail when the formatting of the form gets
screwed up. Has anyone nay experience of this? I could sent a picture of
how it looks in gmail.

That functionality does not work in gmail. Your recipients should be using
Outlook to get your desired result.
