Why is "load from query" disabled?

I want to filter my table, which is open from the "tables" section in the
left hand lists (Access 2007). When I click the "advanced filter options,"
one of the choices is "load from query," but it is disabled. Why is it
disabled? Can I get to it somehow?

TIA

What is it? Why is it displayed when I choose Query while in the table
what-cha-ma-callit? (What do we call these windows that are listed on the
left side of the development environment?)

The left window is called the Navigation Pane. If you choose the option to
show all objects, you will see each container. Make sure that you are in the
Query container when you choose a filter.
